The struggle for perfection is limitless and unending. It starts when we are introduced to it and continues until we have courage and/or the wisdom to realize no one is really “in” or has it all together. With time, we see the struggle as pointless, yet it brings so much pleasure that we decide to continue as the tightening standard of society strengthens its grip. The “casual” looks are anything but casual and “messy-buns” take hours to perfect. The calling is true and echoes when we desire to hear it, “Let it go”. But do we really want to? The world has enough struggling perfectionists. Why not just stop and let the gracious imperfections you really have become visible so others see the work Jesus has accomplished in you? Let’s realize as a culture that the existence of filters is real. ~ Author of The Wanderer blog
