Every Rose Has Its Thorn (or maybe three 😄)

Ever heard of that phrase?  It is a famous line from what song? I bet you can guess it if you like rock and roll. It’s from the song sung by Posion in 1988. Anyway, when I saw this picture I immediately thought of that song, along with other things as usual. At The Wanderer, I strive to be the mouthpiece of what God lays on my heart. Those things which I was “hit” by were the following: get out of your box, bloom where God places you, and every one has a imperfection.

The first concept, get out of your comfort zone, can also be described as Break Your Limits. If you really think about it, God showed us the greatest example. He left His abode in heaven and came to an extremely distasteful and sinful place. He left the holy presence of God to come share the Good News with us dirty rags (https://www.bible.com/bible/111/ISA.64.NIV). [Notice: I am not here to give you warm and fuzzies] While He was here on earth, He left us with the Great Commission.

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Mark 16:15, 16

So, if the God of all Creation is willing to come down to this rancid sinful earth, then shouldn’t we as His creation give up our comfort zones as well? Think about it. When we choose to not go out and actually communicate with other people, we are in a sense telling God we are better than Him and we don’t appreciate His visit. Thus, my concluding statement is get out of your box.

Another idea I had was Bloom where God puts. This one I simple to understand so I won’t go much farther. All I have left to say is: We are to break free from doubt and sin {no longer slaves}; and God puts you where He knows you have a purpose but you can’t do the purpose unless you get out of your comfort box.

The last one is originally the purpose of the songwriter’s. No one is perfect (boy have I found that out). Every one is individually created by God. We ARE NOT ENOUGH and therefore can’t be without imperfections.
