Make Your Move

I had gone to Motown (see link) a couple of weekends ago, but couldn’t finish post ’til now. As hundreds of youth, We listened to the speaker Mark Anthony give us interesting insights during all three sessions. My goal is to share what I found amazing.

(P.S. Sorry if it seems scattered đŸ˜‹)

First off, Session 1 was focused on how special we are since we are created by God. The opening statement which caught my attention was the following: the Gates of Hell will not Prevail (Matthew 16:17-19). This indicates that the Church is meant to be offensive, for why would sin come armed with a gate? The next passages are Genesis 1 and Ephesians 2:10. The first passage was used for the following points of discussion.

  • During Creation — God spoke things into existence; when it came to man God formed him ~ He took time while creating us!!
    • God’s Breath created the Cosmos, spoke the Bible into existence, and was our first breath. (Shows self-control)

Now, here’s the fun part. There was no outline to my thoughts when I wrote them down so I’m just gonna list them…

  • God NEVER needed us, He wanted us
  • You CANNOT let God down because you were NEVER holding Him up
  • God told us to be fruitful and multiply = we are made in His image = Thus, the earth is COVERED with God’s image.
    • In Genesis, God told Adam and Eve to multiply. He did the same at THE COMMISSION… Jesus told us to go make disciples.
    • Jesus died for the JOY of having you in His family — (1 Peter 3:18, Hebrews 12:1-2)
  • We were given dominion over the earth, but that was stripped when we sinned and it was given over to sin and curse.

I am sure there is more but I have no clue where my train of thought went XD
