Due to unforeseen events, this post took longer than expected. Nonetheless, it needed to be shared.

I trust everyone had a good Independence Day celebration. This post will be a little different than what you might be expecting. As the title states, Independence is my theme. I will not be talking about fireworks, nor will you hear from me that God should bless America. Instead, I wanted to focus on our Independence from one thing and the Crucial Dependence on another.

Independence Day was for splitting the ties between England and America. For the specific full list, check what the signers declared here. From reading that, I’d now like to change positions. Just as the Patriots declared 246 years ago, our independence from a tyrannical government is necessary and foundational to our nation. We have allowed the state to make us their servants. Civil Government is put in its place to protect our God-given rights. It isn’t to give us an education, healthcare, or even mandates regarding our personal lives. The state is indeed deep and swampy. It has been that way since at least Abraham Lincoln if not back to Washington with his masonic influences. Nowhere, am I saying that this country was not founded on Biblical Truth and I am most assuredly not saying that we need to be proud of our country to the degree of protecting it. However, as soon as we transition(ed) the credit for our nation being a superpower from God to the military, etc. we will go downhill. That fact is evidenced in history. Our independence from England came from dependence on Jehovah God. This dependence soon turned into a twisted dependence on the State. The most crucial thing for our country to do is to renew that dependence which is so crucial. God and ONLY JHVH GOD deserves our dependence. Anyone/thing that takes His place is indeed an idol. That is why America is the New Babylon of Revelation. You may find me off the deep end, but that is ok. History and reason are on my side.

To sum up this belated post, I would like to share three passages I have discovered during my Bible reading. The first is the most well-known so I will not include it as part of the three.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

The next passage is the following:

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Jonah 3:10

Another:

And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him. Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.

2 Kings 23:25-26

One Last:

And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly. And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house.

1 Kings 21:27-29

In conclusion, Jesus isn’t gonna save America until we repent. The Church needs to repent and then our secular world will follow. Until then, the evil will multiply and wars will continue. God needs to get our attention somehow… why do you think covid-19 happened and WWW3 might be around the corner?
